Try Hockey For Free Day!

Bellingham Sportsplex

Whatcom County Amateur Hockey Association is pleased to host a Try Hockey for Free held at the Bellingham Sportsplex. Our USA Hockey certified coaches and student coaches will be there to help the kids 4-9 yrs of age experience the fastest (and slipperiest) game in town. Skates, sticks and pucks will be provided, however, each participant should bring their own helmet (hockey, bike or sport) and winter gloves. Full hockey equipment will be available for the first kids to check in. What to bring: We encourage those who have access to hockey equipment, to please bring it, even if you don’t have everything. If you do not have your own equipment, or are missing some pieces, please bring the following items as necessary: - A loose-fitting pair of sweatpants for OVER the shin pads - tight or PJ's for UNDER the shin pads - A long sleeve shirt, plus a sweatshirt or jacket - A pair of winter gloves (they don’t need to be hockey gloves- mittens are fine) - A helmet (bike/sport/snowboard, etc) that both fits and is properly adjusted (covers forehead to just above eyebrows, does not slide or move) - A pair of knee and elbow pads (if available) - A change of clothes for your child at the end of the event. Bring your kid, this is a lot of fun and we always have a great time!
